The new Canada Food Guide was just released last week! It was last revised in 2007. Instead of the “4 food groups”, it emphasizes eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and protein foods. The biggest change we see is the recommendation to choose plant based proteins more often, such as beans, lentils, quinoa and nuts.
