What is neuromodulator therapy?

Neuromodulators, such as Botox^®and Dysport^® , are injectable medications derived from a purified protein that temporarily relaxes muscles by blocking the signal from the nerve. This decreases muscle activity, softens fine lines and gives your face a more refreshed appearance. Results can look very natural, without anyone noticing that you had anything done! Neuromodulators are also commonly used in dentistry to help treat TMD (temporomandibular disorder) and teeth grinding.

My dentist does Botox^®?! 

Dentists are ideal treatment providers as they have specialized education in head and neck anatomy, are highly trained and experienced in providing facial injections, and already provide treatment for TMD and facial/smile aesthetics.

In November 2020, Dr. Graas completed hands-on training at the Pacific Training Institute for Facial Aesthetics and is certified to provide Neuromodulator Therapy for the upper face (forehead, crows feet) as well as for treatment of TMD.
